Mahtomedi Families and Staff,

Mahtomedi Public Schools is consistently recognized for its academic excellence at state and national levels and we take great pride in the exceptional level of partnership with our families and staff. Your time and contributions to our schools support the excellent experience we give our students every day. We are connecting with you to ask for your feedback as we solidify our commitment to innovation and support for our students, which heavily relies on having the best facilities possible.

In the summer of 2023, our district completed a strategic plan update to reflect the growth and momentum of our district and to set new aspirations and actions. One of the outcomes of the process was to explore the state of our facilities in preparing our students to thrive today and in their future.

This fall, we formed a Facilities Task Force comprising various stakeholders to develop a vision for our district's future facilities. Based on their input and recommendations from our administrators, the Mahtomedi School Board has identified a significant need to enhance our facilities over the next five years.

To meet these needs, the Mahtomedi School Board is considering a public-private funding strategy, including a bond referendum and private philanthropy. As part of this initiative, we have launched a Capital Campaign and partnered with MGI Fundraising Consulting to conduct a feasibility study that will help guide us through the upcoming phases.
